Upwork: Scam or Not
Upwork.com is one of the many platforms that allow workers to connect with clients. Before trusting any website on the
internet, the first thing that comes to mind is “whether it is a scam”. Well,
to assure you here, Upwork is a real site that gives you real work. If you are
looking for a home-based job, then Upwork is a good platform to start with.
I have seen many websites that claim that Upwork is a scam;
that’s not correct. But, yes! There are some jobs on Upwork that are scams. You
earn real-time on Upwork and there are some people who want to hack into your
account to steal your earned money. With experience and knowledge, you can
always tell that the job post is a scam. How to know a job on Upwork is a scam?
#1: The client wouldn’t have a “verified account”.
#2: The client’s account is new
#3: The job post will have a link that will take you to the
page that will ask for your Upwork ID and
password.
However, Upwork’s scam detection is quite good. When I
was new on Upwork, I fell for the scam. I didn’t know until I got an email from
Upwork. They had asked me to change my password and they knew that I fell for
the scam.
I am earning good from Upwork. If you want to try it, then
go for it. It is one best place for me to earn from the ease of my home.
